EA Sports UFC: 10 Fighter Ratings That Must Be Upgraded
3. Chuck Liddell
EA SportsOverall: 91
Striking: 89
Ground : 90
Submissions: 90
The fact that Chuck Liddell now enjoys a cushy role as the Executive VP of Business Development (seemingly just attending UFC events and partying) means that this rating must have been made of the Iceman in his prime. If this is the case Liddell has been hopelessly underrated. During his time in the UFC the Iceman was extremely popular with the fans not just because of his explosive style or because of his distinctive look but because he was so dominant in the 205-lb division. Liddell overcame a whos-who of the most dangerous fighters in the teething UFC including Kevin Randleman, Vitor Belfor, Babalu, Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz and Wanderlei Silva. There is no doubt that a Chuck Liddell in his prime should be rated far higher than 91 overall. Moreover, the fact that his stand-up statistic has been rated as his weakest area is just ridiculous. Liddells entire career was built around his heavy-hands with 13 of his 21 wins coming through KO/TKOs. Liddells overhand right was a move which drove fear into the hearts of his opponents during the years in which he competed.
