Elden Ring: 10 Secret Stories & Locations You NEED To Find
8. The Law Of Regression
While many who frequent online discussions would have heard this fact already, it's still considered one of the most important secrets to learn within the lore of the game.
The Law Of Regression is an incantation which removes harmful status effects and illusory spells. When performed in front of the statue of Radagon outside the Chapel of the Erdtree, it reveals that Radagon - second Elden Lord, father of Ranni, Rykard, Radahn, Miquella, and Malenia, and spouse to Marika - is in fact Marika herself.
This raises many questions about the history of Elden Ring, much of which we learn from "Turtle Pope" Miriel.
Even from the earliest trailers of the game, we see both Radagon and Marika during the Elden Ring's shattering. Though their motives are not fully known, it's revealed that when Marika shattered the Ring, Radagon attempted to repair it.
The fact that they're "the same person" but have conflicting motives is interesting, especially given they were once "married" to each other. Were they always the same? Were they separate, but fused together? We don't know, but finding this secret is one of the core discoveries tying many Elden Ring mysteries together, and it's extremely satisfying to find.
