9. Malenia's "Children"
Millicent is perhaps one of the most well-liked NPCs in Elden Ring, and has one of the most intriguing quests, one which (unsurprisingly) ends in tragedy, but reveals a lot about a certain "undefeatable" boss.
When the Tarnished first meets Millicent, she's being devoured from the inside by Scarlet Rot, similar to Malenia herself.
Helping her on her quest reveals that she is "of Malenia's blood", though she's unsure if she's a sister, a daughter, or some offshoot. What's known is that she was found "as a babe" in the Aeonian Swamp by Gowry, and has multiple sisters who you can challenge to complete her questline.
Given that Malenia, the demigod she sprung from, "blooms" like a flower during her battle with Radahn, it's even possible she's akin to a seed or spore that was born when Malenia's Scarlet Aeonia bloomed too.
Like Malenia, Millicent and her sisters are capable of spreading rot. Also like Malenia, she has a missing arm and can perform the waterfowl dance combat move. Completing Millicent's quest and learning her other secrets is a must for any player, as it's one of Elden Ring's best side-quests, with one of the best, seemingly minor NPCs.
