Elder Scrolls VI: 10 Simple Fixes That Would Improve Everything

6. Don't Penalise Players For Installing

Installing games to a console's hard drive is something that many gamers feel particularly strongly about these days, and so catering to this group is another essentiality. For Skyrim, many Xbox 360 players experience and unfortunate amount of difficulty when trying to make this work and were penalised dramatically by in-game issues after installation to the hard drive. There are obviously a number of Skyrim gamers reading this point that will have had absolutely no experience of this being an issue for them, and so it admittedly is not something that everyone is crying out for Bethesda to fix. On the other hand those who were affected by it would quite probably place it near the top of the concerns that they had with the game, and so it simply cannot be ignored. Just telling these players to play from the disc was not an adequate response before, and won't wash again if the next instalment suffers the same. Players who did experience the dramatic drop in the game's quality of graphics will be waiting with bated breath to make sure that this issue never rears its head again, and Bethesda would certainly be wise to put serious work into allowing the game to perform equally as well as an installation.
