Every Call Of Duty Campaign Ranked Worst To Best
7. Black Ops - Cold War
Call of Duty's most recent title had a lot riding on its shoulders. Set between the events of Black Ops and Black Ops 2 during - you guessed it - the Cold War, the game put aside any worries fans had about another Black Ops campaign and delivered one of CoD's most genre-bending and narratively tight instalments to date.
Bringing back fan favourites Alex Mason and Frank Woods, Cold War offers up a slice of CoD majesty that many still claim just doesn't exist anymore.
In many ways, Cold War feels like a time capsule - an enrapturing experience that perfectly captures what made CoD's earlier run so popular and widely imitated. It's fast, violent, and narratively twisting, once more letting you chose what exactly happens in its final moments.
If only it were a little longer, it would probably break into this list's top three. It really is that good.
