Certainly, gamers have had our fill when it comes apocalyptic sci-fi games set in a dystopian alternate reality. Just last year the tired reception of Rage 2 and Wolfenstein: Youngblood more the echoed this.

Despite Orangeblood taking those familiar elements, as its set in a destroyed futuristic Japan, it still looks quite fresh and intriguing due to its approach.

The game is RPG is in the style of top-down SNES classics from the east. The pixelated art of the era is carefully recreated and we're left with a title with a gobsmacking world of intricate gameplay elements plus an enticing campaign.
