11. Shadow Of The Tomb Raider

This... could go either way.

For whatever reason - mainly because Square Enix seem to be pushing "become the Tomb Raider" as some "status" or reputation to achieve - the newer Tomb Raider titles seem to be dropping in popularity.

Let's sidestep the lack of cultural traction Lara has in the modern day, as Shadow gameplay-wise looks fantastic. Essentially taking a LOT of influence from Uncharted, SotTR is amping up the brutality of Lara's survivalist tactics alongside some fun, easy platforming.

The demo shown had Lara thinning herds of goons with precise arrow shots and knife kills, but the most interesting thing character-wise is watching Eidos connect the dots between 2013's timid reinvention, and the badass pistol-toting Lara we know and love.
