9. Starlink: Battle For Atlas

The latest toys-to-life game that's benefitting from a burgeoning relationship between Ubisoft and Nintendo, Starlink wants you to buy real-world toys that clip to your controller, customising a number of ships, piece by piece.

Gameplay is your standard spaceship combat with a number of weapons, agile dodge manoeuvres and number-crunching to see damage in real time.

The Nintendo element comes from including Star Fox and his Arwing as part of the crew. The beloved interstellar mascot doesn't appear to be part of the game's fully-voiced and expertly-animated cutscenes, but across the board, this is essentially the Star Fox sequel Nintendo didn't deliver with Zero or Guard.
