While the Ghost Recon titles had become overshadowed by its other Tom Clancy brethren in the past years, Wildlands was a welcome step of bringing it back into the conversation.

By taking the strategic co-op stealth combat and putting it into a vast open-world arena it became a mainstream hit. It certainly had flaws (and was boring in solo) but was more sweet than sour.

Now the sequel is incoming and looks to strengthen several features, as well as adding to the formula by introducing survival elements and attempting to an intriguing main story plot.

Whilst controversial microtransactions have slightly damped release excitement in the last few weeks, this still holds its position as one of this month's most anticipated titles.
