Despite Ubisoft's recent tough times, one undeniable current win they have had is Assassins Creed: Odyssey. Set in the rich and vast plains of ancient Greece, the lush and dense RPG action game had one foot in historical reality (as AC is obliged to do) and the other in fantasy mythology.
Announced via trailer at this years E3, the Gods and Monsters' promo gave us a brief animated clip of this new I.P that will excitedly expand on Odyssey's fantasy territory without being beheld to the obligations of that franchise.
It has been confirmed for current consoles, yet in the company's annual earnings call, it was also revealed that this title is cross-generational, with it also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X, at some point in 2020.
