Yet as intriguing as (most of) these games are, there's one indefatigable leader of the pack - Naughty Dog's impossibly highly-anticipated The Last of Us Part II.

Announced back at PSX 2016, the action-thriller sequel was nothing more than a pipe dream for several years ahead of its unveiling, which confirmed it will take place five years after the original game and revolve around Ellie's vengeful quest to bring down a mysterious cult.

Though the precise nature of the plot - and Joel's role in it - are very much up in the air, everything we've seen so far suggests another ground-breaking cinematic masterwork from the company who does it better than anyone else.

It's been widely speculated that the game will be a cross-platform release for PS5 - especially given the eye-melting fidelity of the demo's visuals - though at present, The Last of Us Part II is a pure PS4 exclusive.

And with an expected 2020 release, it'll likely serve as a first-rate swan song for the PS4 just as its predecessor was for the PS3.

Of all the remaining PS4 exclusives yet to release, this is the one most likely to meet or even surpass expectations. Get hype (if you somehow aren't already).
