After Deck 13 created the unimaginative Dark Souls clone, named Lords of the Fallen, they took the Soul-like formula into the Sci-Fi arena with the superior (and underrated) The Surge game.

With that, they put a fresh spin on the recipe by including the ability to dismembering robotic enemies and use the parts for upgrades.

The sequel looks to take everything exciting about the original and improve upon it, with more nutty slicing and dicing, and more freedom in the move sets.

Let's see if they can make a stronger impression on players the second time around...
