2021's Lost Judgment is the sequel to the 2018 game and returns to the franchise's beat-em-up gameplay after Yakuza: Like A Dragon. This time around, Takayuki Yagami returns to investigate a series of murders that take him to Kamurocho and Yokohama.

The title expands on Yagami's skillset by giving him new fighting styles that transition seamlessly. Aside from Crane and Tiger, there's now the Snake style which focuses on pulling off satisfying parries. Lost Judgment even has DLC with a fourth bonus fighting style called Boxer. Overall, the game has perfected the combat from previous Yakuza games, giving players a truly fluid fighting mechanic that rivals the best the industry has to offer.

While the campaign features a dark and timely story involving school bullying, Lost Judgment also offers School Stories where Yagami can join several clubs, each having different mini-games and substories. These include a boxing club, a racing club, a robotics club, and a dance club. Much like Yakuza 5's plethora of content, these side activities are very satisfying to play.

Though Lost Judgment's main story can get too preachy in certain areas, the game is one of RGG's biggest tiles with the best combat in the franchise. And with numerous activities to do, it's a full-packed experience.
