Fallout: 10 Biggest Controversies

5. "Error CE-34878-0" – Fallout 76

Fallout 76
Bethesda

Whilst the title of this entry may seem like a secret code you could use to hack into the terminals in Fallout 4, the reality of the situation is far more infuriating.

Any player unlucky enough to see this flash onto their screen will, at the very least, have to reboot their entire console.

Fallout 76 has had its fair share of controversies throughout its stored release, but this often game-breaking bug goes far beyond just another disparate NPC, or glitch laden questline. Oh no, it can be much worse than that.

One would assume that you could just restart your game after this error message and that would be that right? Well, not always.

This error would frequently corrupt the entire game software, meaning that players would have to un-install, then re-install a rather large, especially considering this was last gen, over 60gb of data.

Couple all of that with a spotty at best internet connection and you’ve got yourself a potent mix of rage and frustration. High-tier shenanigans indeed, courtesy of our good friends at Bethesda
