Fallout 4: 10 Brand New Mods You Need To See (Feb 2016)

7. Extreme Weather

You never should feel safe in Fallout's world, but the heavily-irradiated southern portion of Fallout 4's map marks the first instance where you truly feel like you could perish at any moment. That feeling's largely down to - if you're not a lucky owner of a Hazmat Suit or high-quality Power Armour rig - the fact that the area's radiation is potent enough to kill you within a matter of minutes, but the atmospheric weather has a huge part to play too. The thick, toxic fog that suffocates the air does wonders for changing the tone of the world, so what if Boston had more like it? How about some acid rain, ionic storms and Institute-caused time distortions to add some more flavour to other parts of the largely vanilla-flavoured map? Yes please!
