Fallout 4: 12 Disturbing Stories & Locations You Totally Missed

4. A Family Secret Leads To A Tragic End

One of the first locations you can find in Fallout 4 sets a suitably dark tone for the game going forward. If you head west directly out of Sanctuary you'll quickly find an abandoned shack covered in radroaches and other creepy crawlies. Going inside you'll discover a skeleton sprawled on the bed, which, in the grand scheme of the Wasteland, isn't the weirdest thing that could be in there. However close to the body you should find a note written by the long-deceased dated from before the war.

As it turns out, a few hundred years ago this skeleton was a formerly pregnant teenage girl. Instead of telling anyone about her situation, she ran away to the shack you're currently in, living alone and isolating herself from the world to hide her shame from her family.

Assumed dead by those closest to her, the poor woman had to watch the bombs fall on her own in a rundown shack without the rest of her family by her side. And all that's grim enough, but then she ended up being radroach fodder all those years later.
