Fallout 4: 12 Settings That Would Be Better Than Boston
4. Los Angeles, California
Like San Francisco, Los Angeles too has been brought to life in previous Fallout titles. Los Angeles was one of the major locations featured in the first Fallout game, referred to as the Boneyard for its ravaged skyscrapers, reduced to their skeletal remains and exposed to the searing heat of the Californian sun. It's a desolate locale, but one that is rich in lore and arguably the perfect follow up to the much less sombre Fallout: New Vegas. Of course there would be plenty of pre-war sights to explore, which is where the first Fallout really fell short. One of the best parts of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas was finding out how famous landmarks had changed, what the war had done to them and what purpose they were serving now it would be well worth revisiting the Boneyard for answers to those questions. The first Fallout game left us with an incomplete vision of a Los Angeles that was bleak, arid and at times harrowing; dystopia-lovers have wanted to go back ever since.
