3. Paris, France

People are always arguing that you can't set a Fallout game outside of the United States because the series draws so much of its humour, tone and visual style from post-war American culture. Granted, you would lose some of those qualities, but Fallout's primary influence is retro-futurism, which can surely be applied anywhere. Paris, like London, is one of those iconic cities that we all secretly want to see put through the nuclear wringer. Perhaps one of Paris' greatest strengths is to be found in its subterranean capacities. After the dank, dark and downright terrifying experience of Fallout 3's sewers, metro tunnels and basements, Fallout: New Vegas' underground offerings were disappointingly sparse. In this city however, there's not only the Paris Métro, but the altogether more horrifying prospect of exploring the Catacombs of Paris, which are allegedly hundreds of kilometres in length.
