Fallout 4: 14 Brand New Features You Need To Know About
14. More Dialogue That Fallout 3 & Skyrim Combined
The most recent thing to drip out of Bethesda towers is the announcement that all dialogue for the game has been recorded and mastered accordingly. We'll be getting around 111,000 lines (a potentially unintentionally ironic tie-in to Vault 111 too), a stat that includes all the world's characters in one. It's interesting to note the voice actors revealed they'd contributed just 13,000 of that full total - leaving the rest up to the NPCs and whatever other systems you come across in the world to fill it out. It seems world-building and immersion are even higher on Bethesda's list than ever before, and as repeated dialogue is something that nearly always cheapens any open-world experience, it's great to see them prioritise such a feature across development.
