Fallout 4: 8 Things That Must Happen At Bethesda’s E3 Conference

4. Downloadable Content Plans

When you've got access to one of the biggest franchises in the history of the medium in 2015, sadly that doesn't then mean fans get access to the entire package right off the bat. Instead it would make far better business sense for Bethesda to withhold quadrants of the city that maybe need further work or contain valuable plot details until a later date, stringing everyone along to some degree but also ensuring they recoup what must be a humungous budget at this point. Platform exclusivity plays a key part here, as although that was mentioned earlier, the GTA IV content that became a 360 exclusive (despite GTA starting as a Playstation franchise) was reconciled to being a hefty chunk of completely optional missions - not something that any Playstation fans were going to lose any sleep over. When it comes to Fallout the fans are far more rabid, wanting to experience the Wasteland as it was intended - and if they're robbed of that for the sake of not being in possession of both newer consoles, that's a huge problem.
