Fallout 5: 13 Things We Want To See

2. Other Playable Races

Fallout 5
Bethesda

By the sheer nature of its plot, Fallout 4 casts you as a human character, and that's fine, but wouldn't it be so much cooler if, for once, a Fallout game gave the player choice to play as, say, a synth, a ghoul or even a super mutant?

Yes, the modding community solved this one long ago, but if the player were actually allowed to play through a fleshed-out story as one of several types of character, it would add a ton of longevity and diversity to the main quest line, no matter how short it was.

How Likely Is It?: I'll admit, it's asking a lot of Bethesda, and while FO5 may open up to allow the player to choose between, say, humans, synths and a few other human-esque types, don't expect a ghoul campaign any time soon.

A smaller DLC campaign is probably the best fans can hope for in that regard. 3/10
