Fallout 76: 10 New Gameplay Details You Need To Know

4. Mods Won't Be There At Launch

Although Bethesda fought long and hard to bring mods to consoles with Fallout 4 and Skyrim Remastered, it looks as though the feature will be absent not only on Microsoft and Sony's machines, but also PC, when Fallout 76 ships.

In a way, this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. After all, the spinoff is online only, which means mods would have been extremely difficult to implement without completely breaking the game.

Consequently, while Todd Howard explained that the feature could come at a later date, the sheer structure of 76 probably means they won't actually be implemented unless they can create specific servers for those players.

This news is no doubt another blow for those wanting a Fallout experience they're used to, but it does admittedly make sense considering the route the spinoff has taken.
