Far Cry: New Dawn - 8 Details You Need To Know

6. Joseph Seed Is Back

Another thing heavily speculated about the cover was the man strapped to a car. While the twins glare at you, there’s a white man helpless in the background. At first, some wondered if the black girls in the foreground and defeated white man in the background was an attempt to stir up the ridiculous controversy insighted by Far Cry 4’s cover. Maybe it was even a knowing wink to that whole unnecessary affair. Closer inspection though showed it was not just any man.

The figure, though quite small, bore a startling similarity to an aging Joseph Seed. After his turn as the villain in 5, it looks like he’s back again. Towards the end of a trailer, we see him shrouded in shadows, his back to the camera.

With the Twins on the scene and clearly at odds with Seed, he probably won’t be the leading villain this time around. Far Cry’s cast is usually morally ambiguous, but he might not even be the ‘bad guy’ at all. If the Twins prove to be a common enemy, Seed could be an uneasy ally in New Dawn.
