6. Ahmed Musa
Goal-scoring SpeedsterClub: CSKA Moscow Nation: Nigeria Position: Striker/Right Midfield Overall FIFA 13 Rating: 72 Quick, agile and relatively composed in front of goal, the Nigerian attacker was able to play across the front of any attack, bringing blistering sprint speed (92) and huge acceleration (94), as well as the capacity to become a player with the overall rating of 83. For those players who picked him up, Musa was a cheaper alternative to big name players like Theo Walcott, coming in from VVV-Venlo in the Netherlands who could grow into a class player who could be sold on for a large profit when the time came to rebuilding the squad. In FIFA 13, Musa's stats are largely similar to those in FIFA 12, though he has now apparently lost the ability to play on the left-hand side of attack, and isn't as strong on the right as he was last year. He is still pacey, but not quite so noticeably at 87 for sprint speed and the same 94 figure for acceleration and crucially he has lots of room to grow, with a potential rating of 84, up from last year's 83.
Worth buying? Might be easier said than done to start with, since the Nigerian has only just signed for CSKA Moscow in January 2012, but his potential ability is still eye-catching, even if it will probably take a lot of match-time to get him up towards the 80s, and his pure striking attributes aren't as strong as they could be. He is still likely to be a relatively affordable option for players looking to boost their speed in the final third, and his four star skill moves rating makes him a good candidate to play alongside a more robust striker.
