8. Disgruntled Players In Career Mode
If we were asked to make up a top 10 list of the most infuriating features from the FIFA series, disgruntled players in career mode would probably come in at number one. You all know what we're talking about. At some stage during career mode, you will receive an alert on-screen from a player asking for more money. You then go to contract negotiations to offer said new deal, only to have another alert some days later from the same player saying he's decided he wants to leave. One of the things that makes this so infuriating is that it is an obvious and predictable set-up, and another reason why it causes so much frustration is that the board then forces you into selling the player, even though they have years left on their current deals. We don't mind a bit of added realism in career mode, and disgruntled players are part and parcel of running a football club, but there has to be more control in situations like these, and we have a feeling this is an issue that won't be addressed in FIFA 14.
