FIFA 14: 10 Nations You Won't Believe Aren't On The Game
7. Croatia
Ranked 16th in the world ahead of France, Mexico and Sweden, surely Croatia would be a certain team to be featured on FIFA 14? Unfortunately not, which makes us wonder how exactly EA select the national teams that will be featured in the game. They're miles better than many teams actually on the game and deserve a place among the highest-ranking nations the game has to offer. With a rich history as part of Yugoslavia and then a fairly successful record as an independent nation, Croatia have been part of the world football picture for over 80 years. They've never left the group stage at a World Cup tournament, but neither have Scotland, and you still control Robert Snodgrass in that famous blue shirt. With a squad that includes Southampton's Dejan Lovren, Real Madrid's Luka Modric and ex-Arsenal striker Eduardo Da Silva, there's plenty of decent players any discerning FIFA aficionado could mould into game-winning machine. They'd most definitely be used as an outside nation on online game modes and could equally be used in Career Mode, as a decent squad that could achieve a lot more.
