David Silva is a divisive player. He can either be brilliant - with his silky skills, marauding runs down the wing and eye for goal - or indifferent, wasteful and inconsistent. Unfortunately for the Spain international, his performances last season fell into the latter category, with just four goals in 33 appearances being just one of the reasons why City failed to retain their title. His average performances last season scarcely warrant a rating of 88, especially as Juan Mata and Mesut Ozil had far more successful campaigns and deserve to be rated higher than Silva, yet were only afforded 87 each.
