By far the most criminal rating in the game however is that afforded to Christian Benteke. We've given this one much deliberation and, having thought about it for quite some time, still cannot quite figure out how EA arrived at the conclusion to rate the Belgian star 79. The Aston Villa striker was the Premier League's fourth-highest goalscorer last season with his 19 league goals putting him just behind the likes of Robin van Persie, Luis Suarez and Gareth Bale. Perhaps EA thought, as they did with Michu, that Benteke was a flash in the pan and would suffer "second season syndrome", but that absolutely has not been the case with either. The 22-year-old has already bagged himself five goals from six overall appearances and, though he has been sidelined with injury recently, is still on course for another successful season.
