When he plays Manuel Neuer is dripping with confidence which other keepers can only dream of. The German keeper has every reason to be confident though last season Neuer produced 27 clean sheets in his 52 appearances for Bayern. Neuer is much more than a standard goal keeper. His natural athleticism and speed means that he is confident enough to stand on the edge of his box and act as a sweeper as well as the goalie, allowing the defender who would be fulfilling this duty to be used elsewhere. Of course Neuer is only able to be the sweeper-keeper because he is both fast and confident using his feet. Neuer not only won the World Keeper of the Year last season but he was also deservedly awarded the Golden Glove for his ultra-reliable performances for Germany in the World Cup. Neuer is by far the greatest keeper on the planet and he has supposedly been given a long overdue upgrade in FIFA 15 to reflect that fact.
