FIFA 15: 10 Under-Rated Teams Which Need Upgrading

6. Southampton €“ 4 Stars

Att: 78 / Mid: 73 / Def: 71 Southampton had a phenomenal last season which not only saw them finish eighth but also had the Saints playing some of the most fluid football in the league. This superb football has meant that Southampton have effectively become the watering hole of the Premier League€™s bigger clubs, losing Dejan Lovren, Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert all to Liverpool, Calum Chambers to Arsenal and Luke Shaw to Manchester United. These loses have unquestionably damaged the quality of Southampton€™s squad but they are still deserving of a higher rating in FIFA 15. They may have lost some talented players but €“ as it stands €“ Southampton still have plenty of quality, not least dangerous forward Jay Rodriguez. The loss of Shaw, Lovren and Chambers will surely hurt their defensive efforts but they have retained enough quality at the back to justify more than a 71 defensive rating. Now that the Saints seem to be settled with new chairman Ralph Krueger, they will hopefully reinvest some of the money they€™ve made in this active transfer window into some new stars to strengthen the squad and ensure they can build on the exceptional display of last season.
