FIFA 15: 12 Leaked Ratings That Are Already Wrong

4. Diego Costa, 86

Returning to Chelsea now with their new signing, Diego Costa, who has just joined the Blues from Atletico Madrid off the back of a fine season in Spain having netted 27 goals in 35 La Liga appearances last term to help fire his side to their first league title since 1996. You might argue then that that goal-scoring form warrants an alleged boost in rating from 83 in last year's game to 86 in successor FIFA 15, but as with James Rodriguez's score, we can't help but shake the feeling EA have made another knee-jerk reaction here. Yes, Costa was on form in 2013-14, but he has had ONE good season. He came from nowhere last season, emerging from the shadow cast by Radamel Falcao following his move to Monaco having previously been somewhat anonymous, with very few speaking his name. He only scored 10 goals in 2012-13 and just five years ago was plying his trade in Spain's Segunda DivisiĆ³n with minnows Albacete. We feel it is far too early to come to any real conclusion that Costa is worth anywhere near his lofty rating of 86, which puts him on a par with James Rodriguez and two ahead of Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge. The Chelsea man may yet go on to put in a series of performances that rubbish our concerns, but as of this moment, we think EA have jumped the gun.
