Robin van Persie endured a difficult season for Manchester United in 2013-14. A series of injury niggled meant the striker was limited to just 21 Premier League appearances last term, meaning he wasn't able to replicate the form that saw him win the Golden Boot award last year after netting 26 league goals in 38 appearances during his debut spell at the club in 2012-13. Instead he managed a return of just 12 goals from his scattering of appearances and has seen an apparent decrease in rating in FIFA 15, dipping two points from his score of 89 in predecessor FIFA 14. This is understandable, though you could argue it's also harsh. RVP is still one of the best strikers in the game and the fact he got injured doesn't mean he's any less of a player. At the World Cup for example he showed what he is capable of when fully fit by shining for the Netherlands, scoring a wonderful diving header against World and European champions Spain and firing his country to third place at the finals in Brazil with four goals, averaging a goal every 137 minutes. Personally, we'd have left his score as it was.
