FIFA 15: 15 Ratings EA Sports Have Got Completely Wrong

9. Mesut Ozil (86)

Up until now this list has dealt mostly with player ratings that we feel are too low, but there were occasions during EA's unveiling of their top 50-rated players list that certain stars received a generous score. Take Mesut Ozil for example. He's down one point from 87 last year but that's still not enough of a decrease for our liking. Ozil joined Arsenal for £42.5 million last summer, with his move from Real Madrid shattering the London club's transfer record. But he has yet to live up to his price tag. The Germany international only scored five goals in 2013-14 and seemed to struggle while adapting to the English game, looking off the pace at the best of times. He made just 26 Premier League appearances and started only 14 of those games, being subbed off in 42.3% of his matches, according to Squawka stats. The physicality of the English game clearly took its toll on the player, who is used to taking winter breaks and looked exhausted due to the lack of one. And it's because of these problems that we feel he deserves a lower score, for we do not deem him worthy of his position as the 28th best player in the game in light of his performances over the last 12 months.
