FIFA 14 rating: 77 Allen's Liverpool career has still yet to ignite like many predicted, but he is still a player rated very highly by Rodgers, who saw him as a key player when both were at Swansea. The 24-year-old needs to start doing more and kick on, however, much in the same way Jordan Henderson has. The 24-year-old's rating is likely to stay the same because of the fact he neither improved much or got worse last season. He made 24 league appearances, but just one goal, a header against Crystal Palace, is unquestionably a disappointing return for a player known for arriving late in the box and chipping in with goals during his Swansea days. Such is Liverpool's depth in midfield this season, Allen will likely have to settle for a squad role once again, with Steven Gerrard, Henderson and the returning Adam Lallana the likely starters in that area. He helped change Sunday's win over Southampton though, having come on for the hugely disappointing Lucas Leiva, which should give him confidence for the season ahead.
