FIFA 14 Rating: 79 Etienne Capoue arrived at Spurs from Toulouse in France with a big reputation as a strong and powerful defensive midfielder, capable of breaking up play, executing a decent pass and getting forward as a goal threat relatively regularly. The seven cap French international started quite well at Spurs, but soon lost his place and was as good as being the forgotten man for the second half of last season. He only made eighteen appearances in all competitions - fourteen of which were from the start. That said, at 26 years old, there's no real reason for this to have resulted in a major drop in the player's rating, as he is still in the prime of his career, appears to be in the plans of current Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino and, when he did play last season, he showed signs of why Spurs signed him in the first place. So, while there's no real danger of his rating having risen, a drop of one point seems likely.
