Current Rating: 82 - Potential FIFA 16 Rating: 85

Nicolás Otamendi has hit the ground running for Valencia this season, and has been the heart of The Orange's defence. After receiving a justified Winter Upgrade, which boosted him from 80 to 82, he deserves an even bigger upgrade in FIFA 16.

So far, Otamendi has received five Man Of The Match awards in 28 club games, which is a great achievement for a centre back. He has three goals for the club, has averaged 11 defensive actions per gameand his quality in the air at both ends of the pitch is a massive asset.

He has been the stand out defender in Liga BBVA this season, as well as the best player at the club, and currently has a higher performance score than the currently highest rated CB in the league, Sergio Ramos (87), according to Squawka. He could easily be an 85 next season, and frankly he fully deserves it.
