FIFA 18: 10 Players With The Most Potential For Growth

7. Marc Cucurella (Barcelona B)

At 29 years old, Barcelona left back Jordi Alba only has a few years left before he starts to decline. The Catalan giants may just be biding their time with 19-year old Marc Cucurella, because he looks set to take La Liga by storm when he moves up from the Barca B side in the next couple of years.

A natural left back with central defensive qualities, Cucurella starts with a 67 rating in this year's game. Over time, that score can rise to a massive 85, which leaves him just behind Dayot Upamecano as one of the best potential defenders in FIFA 18. Imagine having both in your side? It's possible, and it wouldn't break the bank.

Cucurella's jump of 18 points shows just how highly EA think of him. It's also useful to know he could play on the left side of a defensive pairing at CB too, especially because defenders seemed to enjoy going down with injury before crucial games in FIFA 17.
