FIFA 18: 10 Players With The Most Potential For Growth

8. Ezequiel Barco (Independiente)

Independiente's next big sale (it's bound to happen if clubs in Europe catch wind of his skills) is 18-year old Ezequiel Barco. Over time, the left midfielder can grow from 72 to 90 in FIFA 18, and that potentially makes him the best overall player on this list. You want that kind of talent in your team, don't you?

Barco has been called the 'new Messi' by avid footy fans who have watched him play on YouTube. It's not hard to see why those comparisons are being made, even if they are just a little premature. The Argentinian teenager has a long way to go before he can even be mentioned in the same breath as Barcelona's legend, but everyone has to start somewhere, and the comparisons are flattering.

There are bigger jumps in FIFA than Barco's 18 points, though nobody will end up as good as him over time. Should you play as a team who focus on youth like Borussia Dortmund, then Barco would make a fine addition and eventual replacement for Marco Reus.
