5. David de Gea's Exclusion From The Top 10

It's a surprise that the stunning reflexes of David de Gea didn't land him a spot in the Top 10. Look at some others, like Gonzalo Higuain or Toni Kroos, and it becomes even more perplexing. Did EA Sports simply decide they only wanted one goalkeeper in that 10, with Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer getting the nod?

That's what it looks like, because there's no good reason for de Gea's exclusion from the elite list. He's probably a more essential player than guys like Higuain or Kroos, and could even be considered more important to his team's success than Neuer is to his; a quick look at the points saved by the Spaniard at Old Trafford due to brilliant saves feeds that argument.

Younger and with better reflexes than his German peer, de Gea is the keeper of choice in FIFA 18 despite his lower ranking. Last year, he was 10th on the list, and after another sterling season between the sticks at Old Trafford it's a slight shock to see him drop a place this year.
