FIFA 19: 10 Changes To Be Most Excited About
3. Kick Off's Other Changes
Both of the changes listed previously (Survival Mode and No Rules matches) are part of EA's new "House Rules" hub. They're the most notable, by far, and yet there are other exciting ways to mess around in exhibition matches that sound enjoyable.
"Long Range" games will see two goals awarded for players who take on shots from outside the box and succeed. This one has a basketball vibe, almost like EA are encouraging gamers to try for a three-pointer outside the paint and reap bigger rewards for having the balls to try it.
Another is the self-explanatory "Headers & Volleys" mode. Here, goals will only count if they're scored with the head or on the volley. You'll still be able to find the net in a more conventional way, albeit without affecting the scoreline if you do.
Finally (we think; EA might have more up their sleeves come the full game's final release), there's "First To...", a game mode encouraging players to pre-set a number and fight it out with friends for that score. For example, the first to reach five goals wins.
This is playground heaven.
