6. Domagoj Vida - 80
Vida was a large reason why Croatia made it to the World Cup final and, while he might not be a top ten defender in the world, he's certainly better than his 80 rating would have you believe.
Vida had been a stalwart of Dynamo Kiev's defence since 2014, before he joined Besiktas following his World Cup performances. Prior to Kiev, Vida had stints at Dinamo Zagreb and Bayern Leverkusen, where he failed to impress. The Croatian then found his feet in the Ukranian League with Kiev and made 55 appearances and scored nine goals.
The centre back pairing of Vida and Dejan Lovren were as formidable as they were compelling at the World Cup in Russia, and he has proven himself at the club level in various European teams. The 29 year old doesn't have much room for improvement at his point, but a rating of 82 would seem far more fitting.
