FIFA 19: 10 Stadiums That Need To Be In The Game
3. Signal Iduna Park (Borussia Dortmund)
Konami swooped in and snagged the rights to Borussia Dortmund's raucous Signal Iduna Park before PES 2018 was released. The stadium, one of Germany's largest, is a major miss in FIFA 18; EA tried to keep Dortmund's flavour by covering the fans in yellow and black during home matches, but it's just not the same.
It's a shame too, because had the old Westfalenstadion been included then playing in the Bundesliga would have felt more authentic. Sadly, even though Bayern's Allianz Arena, Mönchengladbach's Borussia-Park, Schalke's Veltins Arena, Hertha Berlin's Olympiastadion and Hamburg's Volksparkstadion are all there, Dortmund's intimidating yellow wall isn't.
All those other licences don't make the Bundesliga as much fun to play in Career Mode when Germany's second football superpower is playing in a made-up arena. It's imperative that EA find a way to cease the rights to Signal Iduna back off Konami, or at least come to terms on sharing the licence between both franchises.
