FIFA 19: 7 Changes That Will Make It Brilliant
5. Proper First-Time Shooting
This is a bit of a tricky one to explain, because it may seem like it's already in FIFA.
Try to blast off a first time shot with your favourite Barnet star (Shaq Coulthirst, represent) and you're likely to see the ball nestle in Row Z. Old cliché though it may be, it's nonetheless true; being able to fire off first timers in FIFA 18 relies largely on how skilful the player you're controlling is, and it usually requires a subtle touch first.
Other factors introduced recently include the angle your hero is standing at, the speed the ball comes to them, and how close opposition defenders are. Now, it's possible to get the jump on those players willing your shot into the stands without controlling the ball.
A simple tap of the shoot button just as a foot caresses the ball will unleash a sweet skill shot that may blast its way into the net even from seemingly impossible angles. On the surface, this seems like more OTT FIFA nonsense, but it could be handy in tight situations.
