There's no doubt that EA are smug about capturing the biggest competition license in club football, and they've got every right to be. Hearing Martin Tyler twitter on about the "Champions Cup" felt out of place in FIFA 18 amidst all those super-detailed kits and stadiums, and it was becoming harder to stomach a pretend tournament.

Now, FIFA's throngs will get to sing along with the official Champions League anthem before crunch games and see those weary mascots flap the cup's eye-catching logo in the centre circle. Again, it's the little touches that help make a game enjoyable.

The Champions League won't only be available in Career Mode either. The competition is set to be integrated across both The Journey and Ultimate Team, and there will even be a special standalone mode that lets players create their own field of teams. That's good news for Chelsea and Arsenal fans.

Bring it on, especially in Career.
