FIFA 19: 7 Changes That Will Make It Brilliant

2. A Pre-Match Tactical Overhaul

Ever fancied deciding for yourself just how many players fly forward for corners in FIFA? How about having more options than just "High Pressing" when it comes to your team's aggression? EA's new defensive styles and pre-match tactics engine should make both possible within a few clicks.

This is something that badly needed to happen. FIFA matches have long-since suffered from a uniform style that felt insulting; Watford should not be playing like Barcelona, and vice versa (not that Messi and company would want to, but still). Individual teams have individual approaches. That's partly what makes football so wonderful.

The tactical suite in PES has mopped the floor with FIFA in recent times. That's about to change.

Finally, eagle-eyed players will be able to exploit the opposition's lineup and strategy pre-match, altering their team's style for different games. Becoming an in-game Pep Guardiola, rather than somebody who simply replaces all the knackered players with fit ones and hopes for the best, sounds promising.
