FIFA 19: 7 Changes That Will Make It Brilliant

3. New Commentators

Huzzah: all that whinging about Martin Tyler and Alan Smith regurgitating the same old lines about the same old topics will be soothed by the sweet, dulcet tones of BT Sport's Derek Rae. The Scot, who cut his teeth working for BBC Radio Scotland, will be joined by inoffensive ex-Arsenal right back Lee Dixon as an alternate commentary team.

Get this: the pair will only commentate on Champions League and Europa League matches in Career Mode, and that means EA plan on bringing BT's wonderful coverage to their game, hopefully with the same stunning insight.

It's unclear whether or not you'll be able to select Rae and Dixon for exhibition matches outside of Career, but it makes sense that EA wouldn't limit players for no good reason. This is great news for anyone who was growing bored of Tyler's trademark drone or Smith's apparent need to revisit trusty lines first heard way back in FIFA 12.
