FIFA 19: 7 Changes That Will Make It Brilliant

1. Revamped On-The-Fly Tactics

Last year, EA introduced "Quick Subs", and that did open up the game a little. Ultimately though, it wasn't essential, at least not tactically. Revamped on-the-fly tactics in FIFA 19 will be more important, and they'll complement your pre-match work.

Those defensive styles that were discussed in the last entry will play a big part in this. Say there's 70 minutes on the clock, you're 2-1 up and fancy shutting up shop. In FIFA 19, the trusty "Park The Bus" option will probably still be there, but it won't be alone. Other options, such as only putting pressure on excitable opposition attackers prone to a heavy touch will be available.

That's rather in-depth. Good.

On-the-fly tactics will now be more obvious when they're switched on too. Before, it wasn't exactly clear if your team was still following instructions, or if wingers only switched sides until the ball went out of play. In FIFA 19, the in-game display will make that more straightforward to see.
