As much as Liverpool fans probably don't want to admit it, Sergio Ramos is the best defender in the world right now. Another phenomenal (if controversial) performance in the Champions League final led his Real Madrid side to their third consecutive European Cup.
Although Diego Godín missed out on a spot on this list, he's worthy of a mention after impressing yet again with club and country, his stock (and therefore rating) will no doubt increase on FIFA 19.
Nevertheless, yet again Ramos is the best defender on FIFA, not only due to his skills as a defensive player in terms of strength, ability on the ball, and pace, but the threat he brings going forward too. If you're looking to score a last-minute winner from a corner, the Spaniard is the man you hope it falls to.
