9. Joe Gomez
Joe Gomez is one of the only names on this list that is actually a first-team player at a big team. Well, truth be told, he was a first-team player.
You see, Gomez was given a change at the beginning of the 2018/19 season for Liverpool, alongside the commanding powerhouse, Virgil Van Dijk. The young English centre-back thoroughly impressed, looking every bit the partner to Van Dijk. That was, until he suffered a fractured leg against Burnley in December of 2018.
Gomez was ruled out for the majority of the season, but he did manage to play a few minutes as a substitute in the Champion's League Final, which Liverpool won. This season, Gomez has made two appearances, but Joel Matip has since been favoured in his absence. Regardless, Gomez remains one of the best young centre-backs in world football.
As such, he comes at a bargain in FIFA at the low cost of €14.500.000. Considering his starting overall is 78 and his potential is an impressive 88, that number doesn't sound so bad. Gomez is an extremely solid choice for centre-back, and could easily be your captain.
