7. Tim Cahill

Although he may not have earned as many accolades as some of his contemporaries on this list, Tim Cahill is undoubtedly one of the greatest players to hail from the land down under and is a bonafide footballing legend in his home country.

Spending most of his club career in England with Millwall and Everton, Cahill earned a reputation as an attacking midfielder with an eye for goal and was even named as a nominee for the Ballon D'or in 2006.

Where Cahill really shined though, was in his appearances at international level. Cahill became the first Aussie ever to score at a World Cup in 2006 and retired in 2018 as the Socceroos all-time leading goalscorer with 50 from his 108 caps.

Giving Cahill an Icon card in FIFA 21 would be a fitting tribute to the Aussie's quality on the pitch, and would no doubt be a highly sought after card amongst the game's Oceanian contingent.
